Community College Journal of Research and Practice
Taylor & Francis has been publishing peer-reviewed journals for two centuries. Starting with the Philosophical Magazine, the company expanded the range of journals into science and engineering. The latest member of the Taylor & Francis Group are journals previously published by Gordon and Breach Publishing Group, including its imprint, Harwood Academic.
Connections: The Journal of the New England Board of Higher Education
"The New England Board of Higher Education is a nonprofit, congressionally authorized, interstate agency whose mission is to promote greater educational opportunities and services for the residents of New England. "Connections" is published five times a year.
Cornell Higher Education Research Institute
Links to CHERI, an affiliation of Cornell faculty from five different colleges formed in 1998 to further interdisciplinary research on higher education. September 2005: Andrew Nutting's paper "Relative Tuition Levels and the Educational Focus of First-time Full-time Community College Students" (CHERI working paper 81).
E-Clips
Created by Dr. Deborah Streeter (Professor of Applied Economics and Management, Cornell University), E-Clips contains thousands of video clips that were created from in-depth video interviews or presentations by entrepreneurs and other experts involved with supporting entrepreneurship and small businesses. Interviewees include startup and experienced entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, bankers, angel investors, and employees of startup companies.
International Journal for Lifelong Education
The International Journal of Lifelong Education provides an international forum for the debate of the principles and practice of lifelong, continuing, recurrent adult and initial education and learning. A common, but not exclusive theme, is the social purpose of lifelong education, whether obtained within the formal settings of educational institutions, or in a non-formal or informal environment. International Journal of Lifelong Education recognizes that research into lifelong learning needs to focus on the relationships between schooling, later learning, active citizenship and personal fulfilment, as well as the relationship between schooling, employability and economic development.
Journal of Applied Research in the Community College
The Journal of Applied Research in the Community College is a refereed journal sponsored by the National Council of Research and Planning, an affiliated council of the American Association of Community Colleges. The purpose of the biannual journal is to serve the needs and interests of institutional researchers and planners in the community college as well as those of administrators, faculty, policy makers and others with an interest in the community college.
The Chronicle of Higher Education
Online, the Chronicle is published every weekday and is a top destination for news, advice, and jobs for people in academe. The Chronicle's web site features the complete contents of the latest issue, daily news and advice columns, current job listings, articles published since September 1989, discussion forums, and career-building tools such as online CVs and salary databases. The Chronicle publishes a Community College Newsletter.
