The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation
The Kauffman Foundation works with various partners to encourage entrepreneurship and improve the education of disadvantaged youth and children.  By working with leading educators and researchers nationwide, the Kauffman Foundation strives to foster an environment focused on obtaining the information and tools needed for entrepreneurs to succeed.  It also concentrates its operations and grantmaking towards the goal of improving academic achievement for disadvantaged youth.

The Heinz Endowments
The Heinz Endowments, based in southwestern Pennsylvania, are focused on the development of solutions to challenges that are national in scope.  Particularly, their three organizational goals are 1) to embrace and realize a vision of southwestern Pennsylvania as a premier place in which to both live and work, 2) to make the region a center for exceptional learning and educational opportunity, and 3) to make diversity and inclusion defining elements of the region's character. 

W. K. Kellogg Foundation
The W. K. Kellogg Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to help people help themselves.  The foundation believes that those who are most vulnerable in society have voices that should be heard and that each person should have a sense of worth.  It hopes to aid in creating nurturing families, responsive institutions and healthy communities.  Grants are made in the following four areas:  1)  Health, 2)  Food Systems and Rural Development, 3)  Youth and Education, and 4)  Philanthropy and Volunteerism.

Lumina Foundation
The Lumina Foundation for Education is an independent foundation that strives to help underserved people achieve their potential by expanding access to and success in education beyond high school.  Through grants in fields of research, policy education and leadership foundations as well as innovation, communication and evaluation, the Lumina Foundation hopes to spread the idea that attainment of postsecondary education is one of the most beneficial investments for anyone's life.

The Stanley Foundation - The Global Community College
The Stanley Foundation is a privately operated foundation working toward a secure peace with freedom and justice.  It creates opportunities to improve international understanding through forums, media, and educational programs.  The foundation has long been a supporter of global education efforts and has worked since 1994 to promote global education in America's community colleges.
