Successful Teaching Conference

Radisson Hotel Corning
Corning, NY
October 16-17, 2003

The Successful Teaching Conference provides opportunities for community college faculty to share ideas and practices. It is professional development for faculty and practitioners by faculty and practitioners. On Friday, using a variety of presentation styles and formats—workshop, plenary, and small-group sharing sessions—we will explore some of the learner centered innovations and successes on our campuses and in our college classrooms.

CONFERENCE THEME: CELEBRATE LIFE

Do you have a vision for your organization?  More importantly, do you have one for yourself?  One that gets you excited every morning and keeps you open to possibilities? This year’s conference theme revolves around the work of Dewitt Jones to "Celebrate What''s Right with the World”. Mr. Jones is a former National Geographic photographer and uses his images

to help us explore creativity in our personal and professional lives.

KEYNOTE: DR. BRUCE MCKAY

Bruce McKay will lead us as we "Celebrate What''s Right with the World." This presentation focuses on Dewitt Jones'' video and insights on ways to unleash creativity and energy and uses his images to help us explore creativity in our personal and professional lives. He has applied his successful career skills as teacher, administrator, and training director by providing leadership training to diverse audiences in government, business, and education.
