As Assistant Director of the Institute for Community College Development, Lee Riddell focuses on leadership development and civic engagement, partnership development and negotiations, strategic planning and program design, multi-faceted technology delivery, and marketing.

Prior to coming to ICCD, Riddell was the project manager for the International Global Seminar on Sustainable Development at CornellUniversity; headed up Dr. Patch Adams’ relief efforts for the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital in Afghanistan; and went to Honduras as part of a medical relief team after Hurricane Mitch.

After receiving her B.A. from the College of St. Scholastica, Riddell interned at Alton Ochsner Hospital in New Orleans as part of her certification to become a registered dietician, concentrating on Natural Healing, Women and Children’s Health, and Sports Nutrition. She received her M.S. from the Ithaca College Park Graduate School of Communications and was a recipient of the prestigious Park Fellowship. Her studies emphasized instructional design, diversity in organizational communications, team learning, and telecommunications.

Riddell is a board member of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges, a member of the Leaders Curriculum Advisory Group of the National Institute for Leadership Development (NILD), the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers, and the Society for Organizational Learning - Women Leading Sustainability Group, and has served on the advisory board for the National Council for Staff Program and Organizational Development. She is also a board member and a reporter for Positive News US covering issues on transformational political leadership, global sustainability, and grassroots change initiatives.
